The NESHL takes player safety very seriously and we have implemented a Concussion protocol for all teams to follow.

The CDC has information and a training module on Concussions which the NESHL will use as it's guideline. All coaches/Team Managers, volunteers, Referee's, and/or League Officials are to review these materials and ensure that you adhere to their guidelines.

Please make sure you also fill out an Incident Report for anyone who has been suspected of being concussed.

This year, on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, Northeast Sled Hockey League will be participating in #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving.

Last year, more than 45,000 organizations in 71 countries came together to celebrate #GivingTuesday. Since its founding in 2012, #GivingTuesday has inspired giving around the world, resulting in greater donations, volunteer hours, and activities that bring about real change in communities. We invite you to join the movement and to help get out and give this November 29.

Why #GivingTuesday?

  1. We are looking to get more exposure for our league and our athletes. Encourage your family and friends to “LIKE” us on Facebook, “LIKE” us on Twitter and forward and share our posts. If you help us promote our league, we will be able to better promote our local organizations.

  2. Donate if and what you can. Every $ helps. Our future plan include expansion (which means more ice time to be purchased) and a development of a youth division (more ice for monthly league games).

  3. If your workplace has a matching gifts program, we would appreciate their support. Also, if you know of someone who might be willing to match an hour of giving, we would set that up.

  4. Help spread the word about #GivingTuesday. SHARE, SHARE, and SHARE our posts leading up to and during the day on November 29th.

  5. Use the hashtag #GivingTuesday and post a selfie supporting the Northeast Sled Hockey League.

  6. The more shares and donations we receive, the league becomes eligible for potential prizes from the #GivingTuesday day of giving.

There are many ways to get involved in #GivingTuesday. Here is the link to our page. Please share it and spread the word.

Thank you!
